routes ranging from local footpaths between villages to major
expedition walks spanning hundreds of kilometres with refuge
accommodation along the way.
Cycling is a very big participation sport which attracts both
amateur and professional racing events to the area .The variety
of both on and off road routes ensures that you will find a
challenge in the hills. Cycling around the walls of Lucca on one
of the many hire bikes is extremely popular!
Car rally racing and Vintage/Classic car ‘get-togethers’ are regular
events, which provide a certain thrill and charm to Tuscan Hills.
Music concerts of virtually every genre are to be enjoyed
throughout the year. World class calibre artists perform at
the great variety of indoor and outdoor venues in the
region.
Fishing is as popular here as anywhere with river, sea and
purpose built lakes providing a broad access to the
pastime/sport.
Hunting is an activity that is a long-standing part of the local
community, a hang over from the days when people lived off the
land and depended on the wild game living in the region for their
food.
Swimming in the private 18 metre cascading pool, the local
rivers, rock pools, Mediterranean Sea or one of the many
municipal pools.
